League Rules
Throughout the year we hold members leagues. These leagues are open to any TDG member who has paid a subscription for the current year.
We have a Winter & Summer league, along with extra prizes at the AGM. Please ensure you check our League rules as to which classes are eligbale for league points.
** As of 1st April 2023 (start of summer league), the members points league will change. *
We will now be awarding points inline with British Dressage points system.
Points will be awarded to any member who enters our competitions, points will not be awarded retrospectively & will only be awarded from member joining date. Therefore, we recommend joining as soon as possible.
Horse & rider combinations will only be eligible for one level within the league s e.g. Introductory or Preliminary but not both.If combinations placed in two or more levels we will select your highest placed level..
Points will be awarded as follows:
80% + 11points
78% -79.99% - 10 points
76% - 77.99% - 9 points
74% - 75.99% - 8 points
72% - 73.99% - 7 points
70% - 71.99% - 6 points
68 – 69.99% - 5 points
66% - 67.99% - 4 points
64% - 65.99% - 3 points
62% - 63.99% - 2 points
Up to 61.99% - 1 point
Introductory League: Open to rider, horses and ponies that have not been placed 1st in any league with more than 6 competitorsin any league and to have no BD points.
Combinations if not eligible can still ride at Intro level but must be HC.
Preliminary League: Open to rider horses/ponies that have not been placed 1st in any previous league at Preliminary level or above with 6 or more competitors in the league. Combinations must be eligible for Premilanary Bronze level BD. Combinations if not eligible can still enter HC.
Novice League: Open to rider, horses and ponies that have not been placed 1st in any previous league at Novice level or above with 6 or more competitorsin the league and to be eligible for Novice Silver level BD. Combinations if not eligible can still enter HC.
