An Introduction to TDG and to Dressage
Tayside Dressage Group consists of adult and junior, who compete at all levels. Some are just starting off in dressage and are looking for guidance and the chance to compete in restricted classes, whilst others compete at Scottish and National Championship standard.
Our main aims are to:
- encourage riders and non-riders to enjoy and participate in the sport of dressage;
- provide top class instruction at reasonable cost;
- provide competition experience and encourage potential dressage judges and riders.

If you are new to dressage, you may be wondering how to go about getting started.
We have included a number of ‘handy hints’ to help make your first competitions a little less stressful in our competions section.
The Dressage Group follows the rules laid down by British Riding Clubs or what you and your horse should wear, and the way in which the competitions are run. This way, you don’t get any nasty shocks if you compete at a strange venue or club!
